Demolition of the Setúbal Thermal Power Plant to be completed

The demolition work of the Setúbal Thermoelectric Power Plant is nearing completion. The plant, which was an electrical energy generating unit, had an installed power of 946.4 MW obtained through the combustion of fuel oil.

It was built in 1979 and stopped producing energy from September 2012, when it began to be deactivated.

Carried out by Ambigroup Demolições, over more than two years, the controlled demolition and equipment dismantling work also included the implosion of two chimneys measuring around 200 meters high.
